Jamie passed away early in the morning on Saturday, December 27, after a courageous battle with colon cancer. She is survived by her father, Mike Hutchison; her stepmother, Dawni Hutchison; her brother, Fred Hutchison; and her four children: Brian, Freddy, Dominic, and Mia.
Jamie was—and always will be—a beacon of light. Her love for life and her joyful spirit inspired everyone who knew her. Even as she faced the unimaginable, Jamie never let cancer steal her joy. She stayed positive, determined, and vibrant through it all, choosing to spend her time truly living. There’s a lesson in that for all of us.
Jamie wouldn’t want us to mourn her. She’d want us to celebrate her life and keep her spirit alive by doing the things she believed in: telling the people we love that we love them—every day. Being kind. Playing. Laughing. Loving.
We all love you, Jamie. You will never be forgotten.
