WBW and liver enzymes are low, but not freak out low – they’ve been trending down since the first treatment so something that we need to watch.
Because of the low levels, we are not starting the new drug as it’s completely metabolized by the liver and we run the risk of just destroying my liver which would significantly shorten my lifespan. So sticking with the FOLFIX/Bev regimen and my oncologist is going to speak to my OHSU Dr and they’re going to come up with a game plan for me. On this regimen she said I could do this for 1-2 years.
I did find out that chemo puts you in menopause – no more periods WHAT?!?! I’m not upset about it 😘😜 so if I start acting like Kitty from That 70’s Show just #blameitonthechemo
