Good morning and happy Thursday my friends! I got my CT yesterday, and while I haven’t spoken to my Onco about it yet, the general gist is as follows –
Some good, some bad. Bad news – the mesentery and peritoneal areas are worse, and the spots in my lungs have increased from 2mm to 3mm. I have trace pleural effusion in my upper right chest that is causing sharp pain, some shortness of breath and is generally being a giant pain in my ass. I’m waiting on a call back from the doc to see what she wants to do with that. A quick google search says that they treat with either antibiotics or they go in and physically drain it but with it being a trace amount they probably will go with antibiotics – I’ll update you later with what she decides. I also have some free flowing fluid in my lower peritoneal cavity which is causing some discomfort.
Good news! The lesions in my liver have NOT grown AND one of the lesions (tumor) in the upper lobe has disappeared! AND my liver enzymes are all back to normal!! This is a HUGE win in my book
The CT impression states that there is progression of the disease, but nothing like what I was expecting. I have a renewed sense of hope that I have some time left to figure this out, find my Hail Mary
What now? What I’ve been doing so far is basically taking information from multiple sources – doctors, books, Facebook cancer groups, etc and have created my own protocol. My current oncologist at Asante is a very nice lady, but has zero functional -medicine training so I have been searching for someone local – with Greg‘s help we have found a doctor in Ashland at Oregon Integrative Oncology who might be able to help me. I am currently filling out her questionaire and sending her my medical records. She reviews them, and if she can help, she will schedule me. If she says she can help, I will be creating some sort of fundraiser to cover her fees, which are steep – $3600. Stay tuned!
I have been asked by numerous people how else they can help. Because the government says I have to report donations, we are getting creative to go around that. Right now my biggest need is help with my astronomic power bill. I have an appointment next month (that I made in February!!) with Access to help with the bill but they only help so much. Pacific Power actually has a link on their home page under the sign in area where you can Pay as a Guest – if you click that, enter in my account number and zip code, you can make a direct payment in any amount. It would be a massive help to get this bill covered!!

I can never repay everything you all have done for me. All I can say is, I can’t do this without your continued help, support, prayers and good vibes. THANK YOU so much for helping me fight!! I love you all
